Guilford County Schools Hosts Career Fair

If your teen is like most, choosing a career may seem daunting. Guilford County Schools is hosting a career fair so that students can meet representatives from over 50 businesses to learn about a multitude of jobs.
Many businesses will have hands-on booths to encourage students to try out the career. Samet Construction will be there with brick-laying demonstrations. Other businesses attending including financial services, medical science, engineering and construction. Students who attend can enter a drawing to win a refurbished laptop computer from HandyCapable Nework.
Guilford County Schools is the third largest school district in North Carolina. It consists of over 120 schools and 71,000 students. It includes students in Greensboro, High Point, Jamestown, Oak Ridge, Summerfield and other surrounding communities.
The Guilford County Schools Career Exploration Fair will be held on Tuesday, November 16 from 4-7 p.m. at the Greensboro Coliseum Special Events West Wing A. They will be collecting canned goods to help stock the shelves at Greensboro Urban Ministries at the door.
